7th Grade Math - Today students started learning the Percent Equation Formula. The equation can be used to find the whole, part or percent when given the other two pieces of information. Students were given the example of a TV being on sale at a specific discount and asked to find what the discount was. Students watched a video (linked under 7th Grade Math sidebar) and took notes from the video. No Homework.
Pre-Algebra - In continuing to learn about Rational Numbers and operations with rational numbers students watched a video on adding fractions with different signs (linked under Pre-Algebra on the right sidebar), then reviewed pg 117-118 on their own from their text. Following the review of the text students were encouraged to ask questions as they needed. If they felt comfortable with the review they were allowed to get started on the class assignment. HW Pg 119 1-41 odd
