7th Grade Math & Pre-Algebra - Today students were introduced to a new web-based math program we will be using in class.  The program is called Think Through Math (TTM).  Being web-based students can access TTM from home, school or anywhere they have an internet connection.  TTM customizes student learning based on the students needs, it includes a variety of motivational tools and is based on the new Common Core so it will help prepare students for the new Smarter Balance Test which will be taken at the end of the year.  TTM also has resources available to help students who are struggling, including live online teachers.  Students were given time today to customize their avatar and select a Learning Coach.  We also set a classroom goal.  Goals were different for each class and ranged from a Subway Party ($50 gift card) or donating $50 towards a charity.  Students earn the party or charitable donation by earning points (completing lessons).  A parent letter was sent home with each student but in the event your child does not share it with you can view the parent letter by clicking the link on the right sidebar under 7th grade math.
