7th Grade Math & Pre-Algebra - For the next two weeks all math students will be participating in Winter Olympic Math Activities. Each day students will use the times, distances, and scoring from previous days Olympic events in Sochi Russia to complete math problems and activities.
Today each class began with a review of the different types of graphs and what kind of graph would be best for graphing 5 countries and the number of gold, silver, bronze and total medals won at the Sochi games. It was determined a bar graph would display the data the best. Students were split into groups and given 5 countries which they will be responsible graphing the number of medals each wins. Each group will create 4 separate graphs: one for gold medals, one for silver medals, one for bronze medals and one for total medals won. NO HW.
